Biodiversity activities across Colas Canada

While our intentions are to leave the smallest footprint behind following our activities, a reality of our industry is the disruption of habitat or ecosystems for local species.

Working together with the government to ensure regulatory compliance, CCI aims to be leaders in the Colas Group by taking things a step further and protecting species at risk or special ecosystems from the impact of our activities here in Canada.

With the focus currently on quarries and pits, Sintra, E-Construction Ltd., Standard General Inc. Edmonton, and Terus Construction limited have already implemented or are planning on implementing new protective actions in the upcoming year.

Soon, Colas Canada will highlight the activities taken, the species or ecosystem type targeted and the reason for their selection, and the notable results of our actions if any.
